Synopsis

Sergio Govoni, aka 'Sergov', by self-definition craftsman of inlaid painting and not an artist, tells us about his existence spent in a family of artisans between the loving relationship with brothers and parents and the work in the workshop.

But also imprisonment in Germany in a concentration camp, love for the mountains and artistic consecration in Germany.

On the streets of Bologna he reveals, with unusual poetry and tenderness, the discomfort for a world in which he no longer recognizes himself and his own need to hole up in the laboratory where he finally finds the ideal serenity to continue creating, with his 'woods' ('my palette is wood!'). It is here that he loudly communicates the realization of his greatest dream, that is, having managed to donate the more than 150 inlaid works, which he never wanted to sell, to the children of Bologna.
