Synopsis

The Sfir sugar refinery in Pontelagoscuro (FE) ceased operations in November 2007. The work wants to remember the importance of sugar (from chard) in our territory and the current sugar situation in Italy without neglecting the European market logic.

The documentary alternates interviews with managers, workers and experts with sequences concerning the working process of the beet.
