Synopsis

Bologna. Almost all public aqueducts in Italy are made of asbestos cement. Bologna has about 1,800 kilometers of these pipes of the same material. H2A. The asbestos aqueduct, a documentary of just over 30 minutes, wants to tell what the citizens of Bologna know, and what they don't know. What public administrators say or don't say. The silence of the institutions. And in this small, large, time span of video images, the statements of world-renowned oncologists and scientists appear. Is asbestos fiber, ingested, carcinogenic? Or, only if breathed, does it cause cancer? Are citizens informed of what they drink? Can asbestos fiber be found in pipes? Who is responsible for this indisputable and chilling reality? Directed by Giuliano Bugani and Daniele Marzeddu, with music by Pasquale Pettrone, the documentary H2A. The asbestos aqueduct was built thanks to the contribution of the Association

Orfeonica of Bologna and the crowdfunding action from the pubblicobene.it.
