Thirty years ago, on May 13, 1978, Law 180, also known as the Basaglia law, was approved, which put an end to the existence of asylums in Italy.
Has the asylum really disappeared? Is the institution that replaced him something else or is it just the make-up of the old prison for madmen?
Even today is it possible for an individual to be torn from his domestic peace and thrown to rot, stuffed with drugs, in some corner materialized with despair and detached from reality?
When is a life no longer life?
Lizard tails is a journey. A journey at the end of a damned current night, a journey that starts from these questions and unfolds through stories, faces, tortured and caged bodies, places, verses arising from what cries and dissents in us, visions of an abyss rooted in our still being men.
