Women in the limelight

"Women in the limelight", a festival dedicated to women puppeteers between past and present. The theatrical review, held in Bologna from 4 to 7 July 2011 in Piazza dei Colori, saw the alternation of puppet shows, puppets, shadows and object theater, united by the link with the female universe and staged by puppet companies.

A day of study, entitled "Women in the limelight. the role of puppeteers in the puppetry of Emilia-Romagna", provided an opportunity to reflect on the important contribution of women to the renewal and conservation of the ancient craft of puppeteer.

The conference organized by the Teatrino a due Pollici, in collaboration with the IBC, saw the participation of Marianna De Leoni, the companies Nasinsù, Officine Duende, Teatrino di Mangiafuoco, I Burattini di Riccardo.
